2023: A Year of Resilience, Transformation, and Hope for the COVEDOZA Sisterhood

As we stand at the threshold of a new year, it's with immense pride and gratitude that we reflect on the incredible journey that was 2023 – a year that echoed with the spirit of resilience, transformation, and hope.

Maya Angelou once said, "If you don’t know where you’ve come from, you don’t know where you’re going." This sentiment rings true for us as we look back on the milestones and triumphs that have paved the way for an even brighter future.

In 2023, the COVEDOZA community witnessed a remarkable surge in our online presence. We celebrated a staggering 8105 sessions on our online store, a testament to the strength and loyalty of our Sisterhood. Your unwavering support fueled our journey, and we are deeply grateful for each visit, click, and interaction.

But the heart of our success lies not just in numbers but in the stories we've written together. Our online orders soared by an impressive 52%, symbolizing the growing bond we share. It is your belief in our vision that propels us forward, and for that, we thank you from the depths of our hearts.

One of the highlights of our year was the honor of receiving the Entreprenista 100 Award, a recognition of the hard work, dedication, and innovation that define COVEDOZA. This award is not just a trophy; it is a symbol of the collective spirit and determination of our Sisterhood.

Our commitment to excellence manifested in the redesign of our website, a project made possible by the Here2Help Grant awarded by OnlyChild Design. This transformation resulted in a remarkable 28% increase in our online store conversion rate, an achievement that belongs to each one of you who navigated our digital space.

As we soared to new heights, our story found its place on prestigious platforms. Back-to-back features on MITU and USATODAY illuminated the narrative of COVEDOZA, bringing our message of empowerment and unity to a broader audience.

Being selected for the Entreprenista 100 Award Selection Committee was both an honor and a responsibility. It reaffirmed our role as not just creators but as contributors to a larger dialogue on entrepreneurship, women in business, and the power of collective success.

Collaborations defined our year, and each partnership was a stepping stone toward greater horizons. From Quickbooks to Poderistas, MargaritaMejiaShop to RudHil's Dominican Business Women Panel, Gleam Eyewear to Cultura Collective, Onedooleperday to OneWomanStudio, we stood side by side with renowned entities, amplifying our impact and embracing the strength that comes from unity.

In a deeply personal collaboration, COVEDOZA joined hands with AA Creations to empower a very special woman – my 62-year-old mother. Together, we overcame fears, embraced second chances, and birthed a joint creation that is a testament to the transformative power of belief and collaboration. Thanks to your support, we sold almost 200 units of sleepwear that financially supported a small family-owned seamstress business in rural Cutupu, Dominican Republic.

As we turn the pages of the calendar, we stand on the brink of a new chapter, fueled by the lessons, victories, and connections of the past year. COVEDOZA sisters, you are the heartbeat of our journey, and it is with you that we march into the future with unwavering hope and determination.

Thank you for being the driving force behind our story.

Here's to 2023 – a year of resilience, transformation, and hope.  We cannot wait to see what 2024 has in store for us!

With love and gratitude,

Elisa
